In the performance of its contract activities KJT Group Ltd (the 'organisation') addresses environmental issues as an integral part of its management process and staff at all levels are required to act with care and consideration embracing the responsibility for stewardship of the environment.
The organisation is committed to the prevention of pollution and compliance with the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2015 and relevant environmental legislation, regulations and the specific requirements of contract specifications and schedules.
The organisation recognises continual change in environmental priorities and legislative obligation and therefore seeks to create and enhance environmental awareness and interest amongst staff and management.
Resource management and waste reduction are key factors in the organisation's environmental management. As part of the management system, the organisation ensure that construction methods and waste management receives the required attention, avoiding the unnecessary waste of resources where practicable.
Where contract works unavoidably intrude on the environment, reasonable care is taken to highlight the issues whilst seeking to minimise their impact. In this regard, the organisation ensures that close liaison is maintained with the relevant authorities, local communities and interested parties during the design, planning and execution of its activities and an attitude of openness is encouraged at all times.
This policy is communicated to all employees, suppliers and sub-contractors and is made available to the public and interested parties.
